gch:
To prevent any confusion, we wanted to take a second to clear up a few things about the tour dates with The Dirty Heads that we had to drop off. The Dirty Heads will still be playing a handful of dates, which you can check on their website here. If you bought tickets for the show we think you should definitely still go and check out an awesome band, but if not you can request a refund for the tickets at the point of purchase.
Thank you again for your support, it means the world to us. Can’t wait till we’re ready to hit the road again and play for you guys!
I was having problems with refunds, most specifically for the San Diego show, but I was very determined and it seems to have paid off…
As far as the San Diego show, I managed to get someone to relent about my refund and I was told by Ticketmaster that the refund has already been processed and the money should be back in my account in 3 to 5 days. — We’ll see.
Here’s what I did: I called Ticketmaster and told them one of the headliners dropped off the tour and that I was not interested in seeing the remaining acts and wanted a refund. I provided my order number and they looked up the show. I was told that the promoters would not allow refunds, and when I asked what I could do, the rep told me that she could send an e-mail to the person who liaisons between Ticketmaster and the promoters about the situation. I was told that if they approved my request for a refund, it would happen automatically otherwise, that they would contact me.
I called today about the Las Vegas show, because I saw the updated ticket page, and they told me that once their system updates I could get a full refund. (The site clearly states that refunds will be given, so I have no reason to believe I’ll have trouble with that. The ticket page only recently changed, so give them a call tomorrow at the earliest, so the changes to the show reflect in their system and they can process a refund.)
I had the rep check for the San Diego ticket order and that’s when I found out the refund had been processed. My suggestion is if the promoter is still saying no generally, to have them e-mail the liaison. Don’t accept no, let the Ticketmaster rep do absolutely everything they can and if it takes longer than the time frame they give you, call back. If you don’t go through the hassle, you don’t get the refund, and I’m sure they know that. So go in on ‘em!
Hope it helps… Good luck!
